Lolita Fashion which is a style of fashion that is focused around the Victorian style of dress. There are 10 styles to Lolita Fashion, but the four main and well known are: Gothic Lolita, Sweet Lolita, Classic Lolita and Punk Lolita. Lolita fashion consists of knee length skirt or dress, headdress, blouse, petticoat, knee high socks or stockings and high heel or platform shoes.

Gothic Lolita:

the focus around Gothic Lolita is that of a mixture between both Gothic and Loltia fashion. The theme is dark colors primarly black and dark blue with heavy makeup, some even add a touch of accessories(such as religious symbols)


Sweet Lolita:

The Focus around Sweet Lolita is all things "Kawaii" cute in Japanese (pronounced like Hawaii but with a 'K') Sweet Lolita focuses on the child and childlike fantasies. The primary colors in Sweet Lolita are pink and white and sometimes even red.

Classic Lolita:

Classic Lolita is a mixture of both Gothic and Sweet Lolita. Its not as dark and black as Gothic, but yet not as pink and girly as Sweet either.

The teenagers spend their whole afternoon in Harajuku soicalizing. There are 6 styles to Japanese Street Fashion: Lolita, Ganguro, Kogal,bōsōzoku, Visual Kei and Cosplay. In America we have summed up this form of fashion and called it "Harajuku Fashion".
